Legendary brand Hacienda to host 40th anniversary car park rave this Saturday

Graeme Park, DJ Paulette, K Klass, Hewan Clarke and more due to perform

A name which is synonymous with raving, Manchester’s legendary nightclub; Hacienda is set to return to its original stomping ground this weekend as they mark the former venue’s 40th birthday. Landing on Saturday May 21st, the party will take place in the car park of the site where it all began, beneath what is now the Hacienda Apartments on Whitworth Street West.

The Hacienda is etched in the history of the UK rave scene, playing host to countless iconic shows during its time. Sadly, the club closed in 1997 after 15 years of parties. Thankfully, the name has resurfaced of late, with a series of pop up shows and club nights under the banner FAC51 and Hacienda Classical.

Set to perform the 40th anniversary event this Saturday includes a roster of Hacienda’s original residents and surprise guests on the night. Names such as Hewan Clarke, Graeme Park, Jon Dasilva, Tom Wainwright, DJ Paulette, Aaron Mellor and K Klass are all billed to play.

What’s more, all proceeds from the show this Saturday will be donated directed to charity, as was done for their 30th anniversary in 2012. The two charities supported by the show will be The Christie Hospital Charity and The Legacy of War Foundation.

With limited capacity and tickets flying out, the event can also be experienced via Stream GM. An award-winning streaming team who will capture all the festivities as they happen. Tune in via their website, or head to their socials.

Tickets have sold out, but keep an eye on any re-sales here.
