Village Underground to host Unorthodox x Mandidextrous party ‘The Queer’s Platinum Jubilee’

The leading movement for queer Drum and Bass in the UK returns to London

June 3rd will see Unorthodox and Mandidextrous team up to bring ‘The Queer’s Platinum Jubilee’, taking place on the extended bank holiday weekend. Celebrating the impact queer communities have had since rave culture was founded in the 80s, their mission is to spread the important message that ‘music is for everyone to enjoy whatever the genre, without the fear of confrontation or judgment’.

The night will mark Unorthodox’s biggest show to date. Since things kicked off for them in 2019 they have risen through the ranks working with top brands such as UKF, Mixmag and Hospital Records. Meanwhile, Mandidextrous has been making similar noise with a huge following of over 100k and releases on iconic labels such as RAM and UKF.

Taking over London’s Village Underground, the night will bring together queer acts from across the drum and bass scene. Sets will come from the likes of IMANU, John B, Mrs Magoo with Chickaboo, Bennitrate and Maddy V on the mic. Joining these show-stoppers will be Unorthodox residents as well as their full family of queens and performers to bring the show to life alongside an immersive production experience.
