Brand new festival ‘Departure’ announces mega lineup on the Caribbean coastline

Along the shoreline of the Mayan jungle emerges a fresh experience for 2022

Start off your new year right with an incredible new festival from The Brooklyn Mirage, The Cityfox Experience, and Pollen Presents. Titled ‘Departure’, it’s an epic 5 day and night festival taking place in the illustrious Playa del Carmen, Mexico from the 6th to 11th of January 2022.

Fully immersive production will be created by the team behind New York’s beloved venue The Brooklyn Mirage and event curators The Cityfox Experience, featuring a custom build mirage and two further unique stage builds as well as a mega line up of who’s who in electronic music set against the stunning Mexican Yucatán Peninsula.

The Phase 1 announcement includes heavyweight selectors like Black Coffee, Dixon B2B Âme, techno mainstay Amelie Lens and a plethora of other superstars. Representing the UKs vibrant scene is Michael BibiSolardoCamelPhat, and Jamie Jones, while you’ll be able to catch underground acts like The Martinez Brothers, Stephan Bodzin (Live), Seth Troxler, DJ Tennis and many, many more shelling it on the Caribbean coast.

Since the dawn of time, humans have celebrated the earth’s revolution around the sun and this cycle of new beginnings is intrinsic to our circadian rhythm and the cadence that governs the natural world. We celebrate this cycle with Departure.

Departure Festival

When not partying, festival goers can revive themselves with daily yoga and meditation or take daily excursions from cenote trips, to boat parties, scuba diving, jet skiing, hiking in ruins and more (available to book separately). This will all be set across luxury accommodations at a string of premium hotels including The Grand Hyatt, The Thompson, The Hilton, Panama Jack and Yucatan resort, each with swimming pools and serving gourmet food & beverages.
