Dive into more than 30 years of the rave

As raves and festival lineups are being announced for this summer, getting everyone excited for a big blowout – what better time to look back on the history of all things rave. Set to be released via Amazon Music on May 28th , MOBO-nominated Hugo Jenkins will release his brand new feature documentary titled Better Days: The story of the UK Rave.

Better Days: The Story of UK Rave will explore more than 30 years of raving in Britain, diving into the late 80s and the eruption of parties all the way through to the more recent illegal gatherings throughout the pandemic.

Sharing their stories and giving insights to the scene are some prestigious names, acts, and organisers from over the years. Underground veterans such as Orbital’s Paul Hartnoll, Colin Dale, Terry Farley and Luke Unabomber will be featured alongside the likes of Afrodeutsche, TSHA and Prospa. Shedding some light on more recent events are Denis Sulta and Sherelle, both joined by a huge collective of sound system companies, promoters and even free party crews.
