First acts announced for new London Festival Waterworks

A festival focusing on the thriving London scene from superstars to up and coming acts

The 22nd of August marks the debut of London’s hottest new festival: Waterworks. From the minds that brought you Love International in Croatia and the Brixton born Percolate party series, the daytime event will pay tribute to a huge selection of London based performers. Taking place in the luscious meadows of East London’s Lee Valley Waterworks, the aptly named festival will see a summer day showcasing a broad spectrum of electronic music.

The enclosed site boasts a large luscious landscape that will separate attendees from the urban and industrial settings that surround it. With a natural border of trees and a gorgeous riverside view, there’s no question why this became the venue of choice for Waterworks.

The programme will aim to showcase some of underground music’s biggest names as well as fresh new talent. However, what makes Waterworks unique, is the festival’s aim to make each act as important as the next – there’s no “headliners”. Acts throughout the day will include the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Shanti Celeste, Ben UFO, Eris Drew, Objekt, Craig Richards, Job Jobse, Nicolas lutz and many more.
