In January and February 2019, VBX will be be throwing two intimate parties at their favourite and most atmospheric venues across Amsterdam. Not content with just the party either, the two events will have afterparties that have been known to go on for days – you might want to take Monday off work!
The first event takes place on 25th January 2019 at Shelter, the immersive basement space that has been the site of many great VBX parties over the years. Ricardo Villalobos is on the bill with resident Ferro, the man responsible for one of Ricardo’s festival anthems this past summer. Last time Villalobos played here he ended up staying on the decks for several hours longer than planned, keeping the crowd grooving the entire time.
The second event takes place on 15th February 2019 at Warehouse Elementenstraat, another regular haunt for VBX and a historic Amsterdam space with industrial halls and large immersive rooms that come alive when the VBX crew give it their signature makeover. Cult favourite minimal masters RPR Soundsystem will be bringing their intricate and intoxicating rhythms for the evening, along with VBX resident duo Spokenn (Ferro and Reiss) to make sure that the vibes are just right.
Room 2 will feature a takeover from fellow Dutch promoters and label Slapfunk, who will bring their tasteful grooves courtesy of head honcho’s Ingi Visions (Samuel Deep & Julian Alexander), Benny Rodrigues and Gene On Earth.
Afterparty lineups are to be confirmed but this is sure to be a definitive and exciting start to the year for VBX.
