Spanish DJ, producer, and label manager Jennifer Lee is back this month with a brand new 2-track EP ‘Fake Prophets‘ on the groove-fuelled Huambo Records label. Showcasing the energetic side of Jennifer’s production style, the two tracks feature hypnotic rhythms layered amongst driving techno beats.
The first and title track, “Fake Prophets” dives straight into the action. Steadfast kick drums are complimented by crisp hats and strong claps from the early stages. As the track progresses, invigorating stabs and subtle risers and warm basslines flow throughout the mix beneath mesmerising female vocals. A track which is sure to energise the dance floor.
The second track, “Groovy Trick” is exactly that. Oozing a more minimal techno feel, roomy drums float around the mix, builds with snares and synth undercurrents creep into the breakdown, creating tension alongside trippy vocals. This will certainly be a tune for the early hours.
The full EP will be coming out on Huambo Records on February 24th, 2023.
