Preview: Back to back weekend shows from Yotto with special guest Cristoph

It's Yotto's first London show in 2 years

This weekend, Finnish progressive house sensation Yotto descends upon the bustling Brixton for two back to back shows. In collaboration with LWE, this hugely anticipated show marks the return of Yotto to London in nearly two years. Having released on seminal labels like Anjunadeep, Afterlife, and Pryda Presents his discography spans the melodic and progressive spectrum from anthems like “Out Of Reach” to uplifting techno like “New Era“. He’s also the head honcho of revered label “Odd One Out“, releasing records from himself and artists like Lane 8, OC & Verde, Cassian, and more.

Yotto is one of the brightest talents in progressive house and has shared the stage with legends like Eric Prydz, Sven Väth, and Dixon – when seeing him play listen out for some of his infamous unreleased IDs (We’re still waiting on that Fabric 01 and Fabric intro ID!!)

Taking place on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th of March from 22:00 – 05:00, the two back to back shows will be at the London institution Electric Brixton. With just under 2,000 capacity split across the dance floor and balcony above (think stalls and circle at the theatre), along with easily accessible transport links via the Victoria tube line – it’s the ideal location to see a melodic masterclass.

With limited artists on the bill, we’re excited to see the longer set times needed for a progressive house performance. Friday sees Yotto, Kidnap, and Dom Donnelly B2B Penelope grace the stage. This date originally sold out 5 months ahead, and generated so much buzz that a second date was added for Saturday. Who better to bring for the 2nd date than Cristoph, who has lead the charge on the progressive house sound for the UK and been earmarked as Eric Prydz’ protege.

One of the industry’s nicest guys, Newcastle-native Cristoph has been flying the flag for melodic and progressive sounds for years. Known as much for his unreleased tunes as his released hits, he’s an artist who everyone is asking for the ID. His record “Breathe” with Camelphat was certified Gold in the UK, and he’s released on labels like Prydz Presents, Positiva, Anjunadeep Knee Deep In Sound, and loads more. He performed his first ever B2B at The Warehouse Project last year alongside Franky Wah, and touches down in London this weekend after a hectic five week tour in the states playing across clubs and festivals.

Kicking things off on Saturday will be Anjunadeep’s Daniel Curpen b2b up and coming talent Mia Aurora before Cristoph, then Yotto.

“This show will be the first place to see a brand new visual production we’ve been working on, plus it will kick off a major campaign that’s been a long time coming. London is at the very top of the best cities in the world to play, and we’re planning something really special for you.”
