For the third year running, mighty Manchester duo Solardo are set to host their annual Higher show in sunny Dubrovnik. The event in Croatia will be Solardo’s biggest lineup to date, packed full of the best international house and techno talent. The pair have multiple sell-out shows at Warehouse Project, Circus Liverpool & in London. Higher is now set to grow into a multi-venue event across this historic city.
Dubrovnik has become one of Europe’s top destinations, with incredible backdrops, rich history, and hot summer weather. The city is famous for its vibrancy, sweeping views over the terracotta rooftops, distinctive cobbled old town streets, numerous plazas, and museums that detail the rich tapestry of Croatia’s past. You will recognise the locations from tv & film such as Game Of Thrones and Star Wars, making you feel at home in a new place.
The globally renowned weekender takes place across Dubrovnik’s essential sites, from an ancient fortress to a panoramic terrace high above the city and overlooking the piercing blue Adriatic Sea. Each location has its own appeal and character, which makes for an exciting venue when paired with world-class sound and production. You can expect to see plenty of sites during the weekend, inside and outside of the venues. With Ibiza famous for its sunsets, Dubrovnik does not disappoint, you’ll get to witness breathtaking sunsets and sunrises every day as you experience beach parties, terrace takeovers, and pool parties alike.
With it being a Solardo presents event, the House and tech duo were always going to lead the charge for the lineup. The pair have had an incredible 5/6 years ever since being crowned DJ Mag’s Best Breakthrough Act of 2016 and Best Duo of 2017. They need no introduction with releases on the likes of Elrow, Toolroom Records, and Green Velvet’s Relief Records. Since championing this music, the pair are now looking to showcase their excellent curatorial skills for yet another mouth-watering Higher event.
Solardo will be joined on the first phase lineup by many household names for house and techno fans. Showcasing talent from across the board, including Berlin outfit FJAAK, Moodlabel head Nicole Moudaber, ever-energetic Mall Grab, the multi genre Maya Jane Coles and global star Vintage Culture. They’ll be joined by current in-demand acts, Ben Hemsley, Shermanology, and Eli Brown, alongside some veterans in Lee Foss, Andrea Oliva, Nic Fanciulli, and plenty more.
Away from the music, there is much to do at this event, you can really make a holiday of it. There is a rich array of cultures to explore around the city; you can travel via cable car up to the fortress or simply lay back on the beach and soak up the good time. There will also be events thrown for those party-goers wanting a unique experience, with VIP upgrades and sea-faring boat parties all to feature.
