Houghton Festival confirms Seth Troxler, Horse Meat Disco, Jensen Interceptor & Peach

Well over 100 acts and artists are on the line up

After 3 years of unfortunate cancellations, Houghton Festival will revive Norfolk’s countryside for 4 days of carefully curated music, art, and dancing. From 11th – 14th August 2022, Craig Richards has pulled together a stellar programme of music, tendering to a wide range of genres and age groups. Reimagining 2019’s planned event, the full line-up will provide the pillar to the festival’s iconic identity.

The festival is held in the grounds of the Houghton Hall estate, located on a green field site, and is generally very flat, although some areas have small mounds and dips, allowing for a pleasant journey from the different stages. The site is divided into a number of main areas: The Campsites, The Village, The Lake, and The Woods. With these magical areas coming to life day and night, there is plenty to do and experience. Within these areas, you’ll find 11 stages, a record shop, food vendors, and an orchard, alongside all the other normal amenities a festival has to offer.

When you have a bespoke world-class sound system from d&b audiotechnik for each stage, and with the setup of the festival so good, the music has to follow suit. The stand-out artists announced on the line-up feature the likes of American producer and party starter Seth Troxler, fast tempo electro titan DJ Stingray, versatile house and techno DJ Gerd Janson, in-demand Hamburg native Helena Hauff, disco divas Horse Meat Disco, and of course legendary Craig Richards.

Craig Richards has unparalleled success whilst staying in one place, for his residency at Fabric nightclub in London. It shows the skill of a DJ, when you are undertaking the challenge of creating a unique and inspiring soundtrack for the club week on week. He has a self-professed 35 year research period for music and visual art so the festival is a labour of love, with Craig being involved heavily in the festival, co-production, programming, and aesthetics.

Speaking about the festival, Craig said :

With great pride we present the program of music for Houghton 2022. Our intention has always been to honour the festival that didn’t happen in 2019. With the return of possibilities we finally have the chance to build upon the joy of year one and two. We look forward to successfully celebrating year three in year six. None of us could have imagined such a suspenseful and prolonged journey to the summit. But get there we shall. Preparations are fully under way, The magic of Houghton will soon return.” – Craig Richards
