In 2021, Unum Festival took place in the idyllic town of Shengjin, on the coastline of Albania. It was the first of Europe’s festivals to go ahead post-COVID in 2021. The festival features plenty of natural beauty that will entice traveling Europeans and not just music lovers. With pine forests, sun-kissed sand beaches, a pirate ship stage, and stunning mountainous backdrops there aren’t many festivals that offer such a heavy amount of soul enriching local culture.

For the 2022 edition, Unum will be adding almost two more days to previous editions, running from Wednesday 1st – Monday 6th June. The festival is a true escape from your everyday reality, the isolated coastal bays and secluded woodland areas mean you can explore away from the three stages and lose yourself in the surroundings Albania has to offer. The secluded nature of the festival is made for non-stop music night and day, a fine array of heart-racing water sports, mouthwatering local food, and plenty of fruity drink offerings.

Unum’s Pine Stage, which has become an iconic setting in the underground music world, will play host to some of the top artists during the five-day event. The secluded paradise is surrounded by awe-inspiring nature and the sweet smell of pine, radiating from the forest that surrounds you, both making for an incredible assault on the senses.

As well as this, there is music on the grand Main Stage and a wealth of beach parties that take advantage of the stunning sunsets and sunrises with DJs providing special musical memories to go with. This year the festival will see a third stage created; the Beach Stage which will play host to some fresh new sounds and create a third dimension to the increasingly popular event.
Speaking about the festival Unum Director, Grego O’Halloran, said
“The experience of how Unum 2021 took place, in the context of a global pandemic, meant that thousands of people shared in a little piece of unique magic that will stay part of the festival’s history forever. This year for Unum 2022, we will be actively building on this same spirit and our ethos since day one of “become one.”
“We’ve added another day at the start and the festival will run longer on the Monday also, because people just didn’t want to stop dancing! We’ll also be spicing up the Beach Stage with some new sounds this year and adding some new, fresh faces on the Pines.“

Phase 1 has been announced with plenty of well know names mixed in with a plethora of local talent. Providing the soundtrack this year are some returning favourites and breakthrough talents. Unum regulars and minimal kings Raresh, Ricardo Villalobos and Praslea are set to play. They’re joined by Cristi Cons, Priku and Rhadoo. French house legend Shonky and Unum past legends Dyed Soundorom, John Dimas and Jonny N’ Travis will also arrive on the decks.

The one and only Seth Troxler will headline the Main Stage, whilst Shimza plays the Beach Stage. Fresh faces Vera, Molly and Anthea make a welcome debut and cult selectors including Sonja Moonear, Traumer, tINI, Fumiya Tanaka and more also play.
