We Are FSTVL confirms Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, Deborah De Luca & Syreeta for 2022

Craig David TS5, Armand Van Helden, Rudimental, Marco Carola, Sonny Fodera, Andy C and more have been revealed in the first phase lineup.

Off the back of a hugely popular stint in Mexico, We Are FSTVL has announced phase 1 of their 2022 extravaganza. The South East’s biggest dance festival returns to its spiritual home at Damyns Hall Aerodrome, affectionately known as The Airfield of Dreams. The site in Upminster is situated on the London Underground Central Line, meaning easy access in and out of the city for the pre-drinks and after-parties!

The festival is set to take place from 6th – 7th August 2022, and so far, We Are FSTVL has only announced a handful of the acts to take over the Aerodome next year. There were 12 huge stages in 2019 and 10 for the 2021 edition, so we can expect to see a fair few more big names dropped in the coming phase announcements.

For We Are FSTVL’s 9th edition, the first phase is a snippet of the genres you can expect to see. House, disco, techno and drum & bass, are all represented by some of the biggest artists they have to offer.

Steve Durham, We Are FSTVL CEO says:

“The hugely anticipated 9th edition heads back to The Airfield of Dreams, bringing together some of the most iconic names in Bass, Techno, Drum & Bass and Dance music”.

Saturday’s roster features drum and bass quite heavily, with five out of the nine named acts supporting the genre. Andy C, who returns after an impressive set last year, will feature alongside the welsh wizard High Contrast and veteran producer Shy FX. All three have had massive mainstream success, whilst managing to maintain their underground credibility.  High Contrast, of Hospital Records fame, is joined by Kings Of The Rollers who have signed exclusively for the drum and bass record label. The trio Serum, and Bladerunner are figureheads in their own right but have seen an exceptional rise as a collective.

Saturday’s drum and bass headliners are joined by house heavyweight Armand Van Helden, Hot Creations head honcho Jamie Jones and the fearless, must-see, SYREETA. These heavy-hitters will ensure that the first day kicks the festival off with a bang, and thats just phase 1.

Day two, Sunday, is just as intriguing with a heavier presence of house and techno. Deborah De Luca is the stand-out act; the international superstar is sure to bring the Italian techno heat. Alongside Deborah is another Italian techno stallion; Marco Carola who has been an ambassador for house and techno over the past two/three decades. These two acts are some of the best electronic music has to offer and in an era of emerging talent, they do well to stay at the top of their game.

Day two also features some of the heaviest hitters in the world of tech house. Solid Grooves boss Michael Bibi continues his career as headlining act for some of the world’s best festivals. He is joined by Loco Dice who appeared at Bibi’s Solid Grooves event in London earlier this year. Loco Dice is another act that is at the top of his game after 20 years on the scene. Sonny Fodera needs no introduction after a massive couple of years, with sold-out tours of the UK and North America, Sonny is one of the biggest draws in house music.

The weekend’s phase 1 announcement also features the likes of Craig David, Chris Stussy, Low Steppa, Luciano, and Rudimental.
