Music festival to take place at the location of The Mummy & Gladiator films

Party among the backdrops of blockbuster Hollywood movies

Penned as the ‘most authentic and original desert festival in the world’, Transahara is back next year from 17th – 21st of March 2022. The desert landscape has played host to blockbuster films such as Gladiator, The Mummy, Prince of Persia and James Bond and will once again act as a breathtaking backdrop for the festivities of Transahara.

What’s more, the festival dates coincide with a special moment that marks the passage from winter to spring and darkness to light, meaning you will simultaneously see the moon setting and the sun rising on the same stunning horizon.

Starting way back in 2002, the Moroccan site near the City of Merzouga will welcome ravers in abundance. With hotels and accommodation to cater for all budgets, all within close proximity to the event.

The festival boasts three carefully curated stages, all with their own individual look and feel. The Einstein Rosen Bridge will be headlined by Adama, Aija, Beardy Weardy, Brojanowski, Eat Static, Emok, Guiseppe.

Meanwhile The Stephen Hawking Gate, features Sebastian Mulleart, AMVN, Bas Ibellini, D-Nox, Eitan Reiter, John Acquaviva, Nitin, Miyagi, Konstantin, MR ID and many more. The lineup for the third stage is still yet to be unveiled.

The sand dune space is hoping to become North Africa’s very own Burning Man, acting as a mixing pot of artistic & cultural exchange featuring a variety of genres such as house, Psytrance and techno.
