Yousef, Alan Fitzpatrick and Judge Jules to perform at Social Avenue

Paving the way for socially distanced events in Manchester

Following the success of their inaugural shows, Social Avenue have kept their foot firmly on the accelerator and curated a mouth-watering roster of artists set to play at their upcoming socially distanced events. Taking place at a large covered space in the grounds surrounding Trafford Park in the heart of Manchester, the Covid-safe concept brings music fans one step closer to the raves we all miss. Working closely behind the scenes with a variety of brands and artists, the party presented by JBM is pulling out the stops, including installing a world-renowned Void Tri Motion sound system.

Set to play the upcoming events finds a collection of artists ready and raring to get behind the booth. So far this month has seen the likes of Eats Everything, Skream with a performance for Kaluki, and Darius Syrossian for his brand Moxy playing a special 4 hour b2b with Steve Lawler. The August Bank Holiday weekend will end the month with a bang as Sam Divine plays alongside Jess Bays for Cuckoo Land on August 29th, before Circus recordings bring the label’s head honcho Yousef and an unmissable b2b from Latmun and Mason Maynard on August 31st.

September presents another jam-packed month, filled with talent. September 5th will see the return of Darius Syrossian for another Moxy Muzik takeover, this time with George Smeddles. The following day on September 6th finds Kaluki once again setting up shop at Social Avenue, this time with Richy Ahmed. The week after on September 12th will see a show hosted by We Are The Brave label boss Alan Fitzpatrick, supported by Ronnie Spiteri and more on the day. The final announcement so far for September is a Judgement show with dance music legend Judge Jules on the 18th.

Whilst it’s not welcomed by everyone, this new style of partying is the temporary fix that the industry needs right now to survive. It allows many of us who’ve been stuck inside to see the artists and music brands we love in a safe environment, whilst providing support to those in the industry. Brilliant music, a socially distanced bar, and some delicious food – what better way to spend a day as this year’s summer draws to an end. Social Avenue are certainly paving the way in Manchester for the “new normal” rave in a Covid world.
