This Saturday, the Garden of England welcomes a brand new event among the trees. Landing courtesy of the aptly named party starters; The Garden Project, the brand have unearthed an untouched spot, ideal for a day of socially distanced two-stepping.
The forest show comes hot off the heels of their recently announced event programme, which has already seen the likes of Max Chapman and Sammy Porter perform at sold out shows in the last few weeks alone. With promoters having to rethink their approach and up their game amidst COVID, it’s safe to say this newly formed brand are keeping their feet firmly on the accelerator, as they continue to spread their roots in the local area.

The social distanced forest on Saturday 8th August will see the Hot Creations signed Ben Sterling firing tech house shells in a brand new location for the underground music scene and just a short 10 minute drive from the bustling Maidstone town centre. Taking place at Longton Wood, the site boasts a secluded setting truly off the beaten track having never been used for an event like this before.

Surrounded by woodland and greenery, it’s a perfect spot for a knees-up. Running from 11am-11pm, the licensed shindig will have tunes pumping with a pop up party atmosphere, whilst providing a safe and secure experience for those in attendance.
The event headliner; Ben Sterling is a name that which has propelled to the dizzying heights of the house music scene of late. The fast rising DJ/producer has released tracks on top labels such as Hot Creations, Edible, Hottrax and many others.
With heavyweight selectors including Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers and Patrick Topping being among those who rate him highly, along with being a Ministry of Sound resident at 18 and playing globally on the biggest stages, he has quite the CV. Ben’s groove influenced sets are known to go down a treat and with the weather set to be a scorcher, this event has all the ingredients for success, with a backdrop to boot.

Alongside Ben Sterling, you’ll find a supporting lineup of residents and local DJs performing. Richie Carrera, Ansell, Carter, Johnny Hulus, Albert Courtnell & Frankie Tappin, Harry Hays, Brad Shu, Chris Butcher and Luke Shoebridge are all set to play.
To ensure the safety for all in attendance, there are strict social distancing measures in place throughout the event. Sanitation stations, a 1m bar system, spread out tables, and masks on request are just some of the measures in place. The event is also cashless, so be sure to bring your bank card and due to its remote location, a taxi rank will be available for when the party stops to get everyone home safe.
