Printworks to host event inspired by 90s rave film Human Traffic

The showcase will run from 22nd May - 13th June

Going by the name of A Lost Weekend, the brand new concept will form a multi-layered immersive adaptation of the cult British rave film – Human Traffic. Twenty years on from when the film originally aired in 1999, Printworks London will host 18 shows running between 22nd May and 13th June with a huge DJ confirmed for the closing event.

The 5,000 capacity stronghold in Canada Water will be transformed to take ticket holders on a multi-faceted journey through the beloved film and it’s key messages which still remain relevant today.

Within the experience will contain four separate layers. Starting the night upon entry, ravers will be welcomed by a 90s culture exhibition. Following this, brings a themed pop up bar with food & drinks by award-winning designers Better Green. The indoor, warm seating space will act as the perfect pre-sesh for the night’s more wild activities.

A live performance then brings 50 minutes of immersive theatrical performance, crafting a visual and musical voyage through the timeline of Human Traffic. The night is then finished off with a no-holds barred party, with each show bringing different tastes of music from house, garage, orchestral renditions and sets from heavyweight DJs including trance legend Paul Oakenfold who’s confirmed to play the final show on June 13th.

CEO & Founder Deborah Parsons explains :

“We wanted to create Human Traffic Live to provide a truly never-been-felt before experience. It’s a treat, you simply arrive, you have to prepare nothing, think of nothing, we have done all of that for you, you arrive to let go and get lost in the experience, come join us!”
