Festival season is usually over for most people come October, but not for the Swiss. Heading to the Verbier peaks for its 5th edition, Polaris will set up camp at the region’s dizzying heights from 28th November to December 1st.
The breath-taking backdrop will feature panoramic views from the festival’s dome stage, providing a 360 degree view as sunshine beams over awe-inspiring scenery. Combine that with a soundtrack from the leading names in underground dance music and you’ve got yourself one helluva festival.
One the key additions this year sees party innovators Boiler Room hosting a new signature stage for 3 days of the proceedings. If past Boiler room shows are anything to go by, there will no doubt be some memorable moments during their tenure in the alps. Another highlight comes in the shape of Carl Craig playing as Paperclip People for the very first time, with a live performance set to take ravers on a journey through his eclectic back catalogue.
Other artists on offer at this year’s Polaris are some of the industry’s finest, playing side by side with the hottest rising stars. Dekmantel favourite Palms Trax will make his (4hour) debut on the main stage, whilst Circoloco regular Seth Troxler will add an interesting dynamic as always. Aside from his special live set, Carl Craig will also go b2b with festival founder Mirko Loko.
Other names within the stacked line-up include the likes of Craig Richards, Omar S, D. Tiffany, Boo Williams, Glenn Underground, Honey Dijon, Jayda G, Kerri Chandler, Terrence Dixon and Wajeed (Live).
What’s more, the return of Polaris’ “off” locations, held in obscure and unconventional venues will once again bring something special to the festival. Nicolas Lutz, Antony Naples, Paquita Gordon, Princess P and Willow will all be taking things into the afterhours within these rare settings.
