Set across the Austrian Alps, 8497ft above ordinarity, is Mayrhofen – a huge mountain and one of Europe’s best ski resorts. Combining the pristine resort with world class DJ’s and live acts, and adding some of the most bonkers venues (think igloo raves, an enchanted forest, and a tennis club turned super club) and you’ve got one of the most insane festivals around.
There’s 650km of pristine pistes, a whole host of alpine bars, award winning snow parks, and some of the finest house and techno DJ’s around. Taking place from 13th April – 18th April 2020, the festival features dramatic mountain scenery, and a killer sound system.
Just announced is dynamic duo Gorgon City, whose unmistakable house sound makes them one of the most in demand artists around right now. Genre-blurring Mall Grab will be tearing up the pistes with his mix of breakbeat, techno, and everything in between. Maribou State will bring their high production electronica high up on the mountain, which is sure to turn some heads.
Funk and soul maestro, Craig Charles, with bring his unique flavour to Mayrhofen, which will no doubt be a nod to the old school and have lashings of soul. DJ Seinfeld will be showcase his unique sound and big basslines in the alps, while Paul Woolford is sure to make the mountain shake with two slots – one as his alias ‘Special Request’.
Bringing their distinctive sounds back to Snowbombing is Alexis and Barely Legal, alongside fellow Rinse FM regular Emerald. The unique house sound of Krystal Klear will be sure to get the mountain moving, as will the ever-innovative Heidi. Breakthrough artists Rebuke and Kettama will satisfy the underground house and techno fans with their fresh sound.
Not only that, but there is a whole heap of artists from across the musical spectrum including Liam Gallagher, The Streets, Foals, Kurupt FM, Big Narstie, Chase & Status, Rudimental, Sub Focus, Wilkinson, Holy Goof, and Sherelle.
Snowbombing is set to be the ultimate alpine adventure. Whether you’re on red runs, blue runs, or beer runs the finest house and techno will be pulsating the pistes and topping the trees. Igloo parties, fancy dress street party, enchanted Forest Stage, a subterranean super club, Spa’s, Saunas, Paragliding, Chairlift Speed-Dating, Cable Car-aoke, Alpine Yoga, Cable Car Raves, Ride & Seek, an award winning snow park, Bongo’s Bingo and The Snowlympics, this is truly unmissable.
