Canada Water’s industrial rave playground closed their doors for the most part of Summer following another breathtaking spring season, which ended with the likes of Stephan Bodzin, Above & Beyond and a Solid Grooves showcase – just to give you a flavour of the heavy hitters they’ve already featured this year.
Continuing to up their game with each programme since the venue’s inception only two years ago in February 2017, the upcoming series of events is no exception. The opening night on September 28th alone will see the techno royalty in the shape of Amelie Lens, Nicole Moudaber, Luigi Madonna and Nastia adorning the press halls. Meanwhile the venue’s smaller space named the Dark Room will see fast rising artists, including Milo Spykers and Farrago who’ve featured on Amelie Lens’ new record label LENSKE.
Things by no means stop there, the rest of the season follows suit with many artists making their Printworks debut, along with the return of some previous favourites. Newcastle-born star Patrick Topping brings his Trick label to London on October 13th for it’s first label showcase in the capital. The hefty lineup includes Len Faki, Paul Woolford b2b Melé and venue debuts for Prospa, Rebuke and Eliot Adamson.
Other showcases include Denis Sulta’s “Sulta Selects”, a 3 hour set from Peggy Gou for her night “Gou Talk”, 25 Years of Bugged out with Green Velvet and Dusky playing an acid house set, Solid Grooves and Tale Of Us’s powerhouse brand Afterlife. For the techno lovers, The Hydra will see a further 3 shows following their upcoming August Bank Holiday special, with our pick of the bunch on December 21st featuring Robert Hood, Dave Clarke and a very rare b2b from Marcel Dettmann & DJ Stingray.
As if all that wasn’t enough, this autumn will also see the grand opening of two new venues in the capital. The custom built multi purpose space Magazine will see Michael Bibi hosting his new “Isolate” show on October 12th. Later into the year, the 10,000 capacity stronghold named The Drumsheds will welcome Ibiza heavyweight brand Circoloco on December 14th, with many shows still TBA between the two new spaces. So, if you need a rave this Autumn/Winter, it’s safe to say these three venues have got you covered.
