If you’re debating on where to find your ideal summer holiday this year and stuck between an action packed music event or a chilled break, then look no further – as Kala has you covered. The beachside-based festival is held within a resort along the Albanian Riviera, providing the perfect cocktail of partying and pampering.
Running from 12th – 19th June in Dhermi and overlooking the Mediterranean beach, Kala holds multiple open-air stages which boast unspoiled sunset views, whilst an international roster of the industry’s top DJs provide the soundtrack to eight days of paradise. The area houses plenty of hotels just offshore, along with restaurants both on and around the main site supplying fresh, locally caught fish amongst other local delicacies to keep you fuelled throughout the week.
After carefully curating their line up with cherry picked acts to keep a special kind of groove flowing, it’s safe to say Kala haven’t held back with this year’s selections. Extended 5 hour sets by musical entrepreneurs Hunee, Derrick May, and a b2b from Midland & Job Jobse will send eager party goers on mystical journeys during their stay.
Chicago house groover Honey Dijon also makes an appearance alongside The Menendez Brothers and the hip funk girls from Rhythm Sister. Rounding off the the bill features fantastic live shows from groups such as Hercules & Love Affair, Fatima & The Eglo Live Band and disco legends Inner city.
Contrary to the musical madness, the festival’s extra curriculum is just as appealing, with a range of activities on offer to keep you busy. Paragliding, kayaking, snorkeling and boat trips are all available to enjoy along with the more relaxing choices of yoga classes, gong baths and beach massages.
