The Warehouse Project is making some major moves for its 2025 season, starting with a long-awaited toilet upgrade. By September’s opening night, 80% of the venue’s bathrooms will be proper, flushable facilities, signalling the beginning of the end for the portaloo’s.

The entrance will also shift from Baring Street to Temperance Street, and there is a new push to keep the dancefloor ‘more in-the-moment’. While The Warehouse Project will not enforce a blanket phone ban, certain intimate “Concourse Only” shows, like PAWSA, will have a no-phones policy, with camera lenses stickered at the door. At larger events, the team will rely on gentle reminders and signage, whilst introducing a trade-off which means every set will be professionally shot, with photos and videos shared the same night for personal use.

Inside, the Depot is getting a full production overhaul. Expect a new sound system, upgraded lighting and video rigs, and a new VIP mezzanine area. The season opens 6 September with Annie Mac’s Before Midnight party, followed by Fisher on 20 September, You&Me’s 10th birthday with Josh Baker, Seth Troxler and Kerri Chandler on 27 September, Jamie Jones’ Paradise on 17 October, Aitch on 29 October, and Barry Can’t Swim on 21 November. The Warehouse Project will also host events at other Manchester venues, including Daniel Avery at New Century and Kettama at Factory International.
