Armand Van Helden, Ewan McVicar, Notion and SWATT TEAM to play Hopetoun House Sessions

The event takes place on August 3rd

Dance music legend Armand Van Helden is set to make a long-awaited return to Scotland this summer, headlining the Sunday, 3rd August lineup of Hopetoun House Sessions. It’s been over 20 years since the global icon last played a Scottish stage. With a career that’s shaped the sound of global club culture, Van Helden is behind genre-crossing classics like You Don’t Know Me, My My My, and I Want Your Soul.

Taking place on the grounds of the majestic Hopetoun House near Edinburgh, Hopetoun House Sessions is a new two-day open-air festival set against one of Scotland’s most stunning backdrops. Produced by Boiler Room and EE Live, the team behind Terminal V and Doof in the Park, the event aims to combine world-class talent with immersive production in a truly unique setting.

Joining the bill is Ewan McVicar, one of Scotland’s brightest electronic talents. Known for his infectious energy behind the decks and the breakout hit Tell Me Something Good, McVicar has quickly become a mainstay on the international circuit.

The Sunday lineup dives deep into the UK’s thriving underground with standout acts from across the electronic spectrum. Notion brings his signature UK bass and garage firepower, while Saint Ludo, one of the scene’s most exciting new voices, mixes global club sounds with a bold, forward-thinking edge.

A back-to-back set between rising sensation Oppidan and house veteran Todd Edwards promises to be a highlight, pairing fresh UK garage vibes with the Grammy-winning producer who helped define the genre and famously worked with Daft Punk. Rounding out the lineup, Glasgow’s Swatt Team will deliver the kind of raw, high-voltage energy that’s earned them a devoted local following.
