There’s a rave happening on a highway in Amsterdam

The event is in partnership with car manufacturer CUPRA

On June 21, 2025, part of Amsterdam’s A10 highway will trade cars for club beats as Audio Obscura hosts an unprecedented electronic music event to mark the city’s 750th birthday. The “Highway Rave” will see a section of the A10 near the RAI Metro Station transformed into an industrial open-air venue as part of the broader Festival op de Ring.

The one-day celebration will shut down 17 kilometers of the A10 ring road, drawing tens of thousands for a cultural spectacle across multiple stages. Audio Obscura; a driving force in Amsterdam’s underground scene, is the only dance music brand to feature at the the festival’s main sites, acknowledging their legacy in staging high-concept parties at landmark sites like the Rijksmuseum bicycle passage and the city’s Central Station.

With a reputation for pushing boundaries, Audio Obscura is promising a nine-hour, high-octane program featuring exclusive back-to-back sets. While the full lineup remains under wraps, organizers are calling it a “once-in-a-lifetime” rave.

Car manufacturer CUPRA have also partnered on the event, as part of its CUPRA Music initiative, as well as industry heavyweights including Armada Music.

Free tickets dropped on Wednesday, May 21 at 10 AM CEST and have now sold out, but you’re still in with a chance if you sign up here. Merch is also available in the shape of a limited edition T shirt, created in collaboration with Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman’s fashion label Applied Art Forms.
