Despite some progress forward in recent years, mental health remains an unspoken subject for many. However, one initiative is making waves by turning the conversation into action. Step Inside, founded by 23-year-old Angelio, is more than just an events brand, it’s a movement dedicated to normalising discussions around mental health and creating a community through music.

Having battled his own mental health struggles, Angelio understands firsthand the importance of a supportive community. Alongside his business partner Harry, the pair have made it their mission to create safe spaces where people can feel seen, heard, and supported.

Step Inside has already made an impressive impact, raising £35,000 for mental health through charity football matches featuring Wayne Lineker and high-energy events at renowned venues like Pickle Factory, 93 Feet East, and Night Tales Loft. With ticket sales benefiting Mind; a leading mental health charity, the initiative ensures that awareness turns into tangible support.

Having recently celebrated their 2nd birthday, this year Step Inside is breaking new ground by expanding its reach beyond London to Ibiza, marking a first-of-its-kind effort to bring mental health advocacy to the global music scene.

Alongside the brand’s international ventures, Angelio will also be running the London Marathon this April, raising money once again for Mind, as well as a summer party in the works with the event date due to be announced soon.

With a vision to support more individuals, particularly men in the industry, Angelio and his team are proving that music and mental health advocacy can go hand in hand. As Step Inside continues to grow, one thing remains clear: this is more than just an event series. It’s a meaningful step towards changing how we engage with mental health, and it’s only just beginning.
