Fyre Festival 2 tickets have gone on sale for $1 Million

The festival's location and dates have also been unveiled

Billy McFarland, the convicted fraudster behind the infamous 2017 Fyre Festival debacle, has officially revealed the location and date for the festival’s second attempt. According to an announcement made on February 24, Fyre Festival 2 is set to take place on Isla Mujeres, off the coast of Mexico, from May 30 to June 2, 2025.

The festival, which is being marketed as a “three-day escape to the Mexican Caribbean,” will reportedly be produced by Mexican event promoters Lostnights. The announcement post emphasised that “Fyre Festival 2 is real.”

“I’m sure many people think I’m crazy for doing this again,” McFarland stated. “But I feel I’d be crazy not to do it again. After years of reflection and now thoughtful planning, the new team and I have amazing plans for Fyre 2.” He also expressed gratitude to his partners, calling it a “second chance.”

Tickets for the rebooted festival are now on sale, with prices ranging from $1,400 for general access excluding accommodation, to an eye-watering $1.1 million for an ultra-luxury “Prometheus” package. The highest-tier offering is designed for groups of eight and includes private dinners and exclusive excursions. Other ticket tiers include options priced at $25,000.

Despite the grand promises, skepticism remains. Andy King, a former Fyre Festival investor who lost $1 million in the original disaster, has voiced concerns over the event’s revival. Speaking to the BBC last year, he warned potential attendees to “proceed with caution,” citing “red flags” and McFarland’s apparent lack of detailed planning.

The original Fyre Festival, promoted as an elite island getaway, ended in chaos when attendees arrived to find inadequate food, shelter, and amenities. The failed event led to multiple lawsuits, McFarland’s imprisonment for fraud, and a lasting legacy as one of the most infamous festival failures in history.

With Fyre Festival 2 now officially on the calendar, all eyes are on McFarland to see if he can deliver—or if history will repeat itself.
