We caught up with Luke to chat about the release, find out his plans for 2025, and more!

Hey Luke, thanks for speaking to us! Firstly, can you describe your music to someone unfamiliar with your sound? What elements define your style of house?

I would describe my style of house as very heavily garage-inspired, however, I also like to combine it with a hip house flair.

Your influences include house legends like Derrick Carter and Marshall Jefferson. How do these inspirations shape your approach to music?

I’d definitely say that the way they bring in different elements into their tracks – the ones that maybe I’d never think would work, but they just do – is definitely something I have started to do in my own music. That unexpected, experimental approach to production.

Last year, you played shows across Ibiza, as well as staple venues like Fabric, Warehouse, and many more. What was the highlights of 2024 for you?

I think as a whole 2024 has been a highlight itself – I don’t think I could pick a single moment as I’ve enjoyed every second of all the gigs I’ve played this year and I feel very grateful and blessed to be in this position.

Your latest EP, Ready Set Go, dropped on December 13th via Enzo Siragusa’s LOCUS imprint. Can you tell us about the inspiration behind the project and what listeners can expect?

I think with the Ready Set Go EP the inspiration was to show the new sound that I love making and to let people listen to the exact style which got me into making music. It’s a showcase for my current sound, one I’ve been refining for a long time, and which will be the backbone of the shows and releases I have lined up for 2025.

The EP features tracks inspired by 90s garage and house with influences from Grant Nelson and MJ Cole. What drew you to those styles for this release?

Ever since I can remember, I have always listened to garage and I think it’s where I first fell in love with music. So for me to create the EP using the styles I fell in love with was definitely a special way to give the release some personal meaning for me. I’m just happy that the feedback has been so overwhelmingly positive from everyone who has heard it too.

You’ve mentioned building a relationship with Enzo Siragusa and the LOCUS team. How has that connection shaped your journey this year?

Enzo and the team have been absolutely amazing, helping me and giving me great advice and just being super supportive across the whole process – I can’t thank them enough. Their input has helped me define what I want my career to be, and given me the drive to make it happen.

Looking ahead at what’s on the horizon in 2025, are there any exciting projects or big plans you can share with us?

There’s lots of exciting things coming in 2025, sadly none I can share just yet! But definitely ticking off some big goals I’ve been working hard to get so I cannot wait!

For young producers trying to break into the house scene, what advice would you give them about honing their craft and standing out?

I would say to just believe in yourself and make as much music as possible – you will always be your own worst critic so it’s just about getting round that and backing yourself no matter what!

Finally, our curveball question. What’s one unusual or surprising item you always take with you on the road, and why?

To be honest I don’t really have anything surprising I take on tour with me, but one thing I always bring which is an absolute must is my eye mask; without that I wouldn’t know what to do with myself when trying to get some rest after the shows! Especially when you’re constantly flying, for me my eye mask is essential.

Thank you, Luke!
