London’s legendary superclub, Printworks, is officially making a comeback after receiving the green light for redevelopment, a huge moment for the city’s nightlife scene. The iconic venue, known for hosting some of the biggest electronic music events, is being transformed into a permanent cultural space after a successful planning application. While it’s still unclear exactly how the new space will look, the approval is being celebrated as a win for London’s creative community, with Printworks continuing its legacy as a global hub for music and culture.

Originally, the Canada Water venue was set to close as part of a redevelopment plan that would have seen it turned into office space. But after ongoing talks between the venue’s operators, Broadwick Live, and local authorities, a new proposal was submitted to keep the space for cultural use. This move means the club, which has welcomed artists like Black Coffee, Bicep, Jamie Jones, Peggy Gou and many more is set to reopen in a new form, bringing back the energy that made it a staple of London’s nightlife.

Michael Kill, CEO of the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA), called the approval a “beacon of creativity and innovation,” not just for London but globally. He credited the “incredible support” from the local community, the music industry, and the dedicated Printworks team for making it happen. Now, with redevelopment underway, fans can look forward to the venue’s revival, promising to deliver the same unforgettable experiences that made it so iconic.

Though we’re still waiting on an official reopening date and event announcements, the excitement is building.
