This September sees one of techno’s most respected names return to Ibiza, to celebrate his admired brand’s 25th Anniversary. Sven Väth is bringing Cocoon back to the White Isle to celebrate in style after a five year hiatus since their last party on the island. Not only is this long awaited return iconic enough, but it’s taking place at one of the hottest new venues; 528 Ibiza in the Benimussa Hills.
Beginning its journey at Amnesia back in 1999, Cocoon was the first party to bring techno to Ibiza, underpinned with a unique energy and passion spearheaded by Sven Vath’s vision. The event would go on to become one of the most prestigious techno brands ever, helping shape the future of the genre.
Throughout his illustrious career, Sven Väth has become widely remarked as a figurehead in the techno revolution. Constantly honing his craft for decades, the tenacious DJ & producer is adored by ravers and artists alike, acting as a leading light for the genre, whilst always staying true to his roots.
Sven’s footprint has spread all over the world, performing over 120 times a year in various forms, from intimate venues all the way up to large scale festivals.
Now returning where it all began, Cocoon will no doubt be channeling the same energy which turned one man’s vision into the stuff of legend. Expect a who’s who lineup of techno titans, curating an atmosphere like no other. For a taste of what to expect, previous names to have featured for Cocoon includes the likes of Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Carl Craig and Nina Kraviz.
What’s more, once things comes to a close at 528 Ibiza, the party doesn’t stop there – the afters plans are already in place, and just a stones throw away at 528’s indoor theatre venue; Teatro.
