ARTBAT, Dax J, Effy, SPFDJ, Partiboi69 & Wax Wings to play Dockyard Warehouse Festival

The event takes place on October 19th

This year, Dutch event brand Dockyard celebrates 10 years in the game, and with it comes a special anniversary show at an all new location. Labelled as a hidden gem in the Netherlands’ festival calendar, those who know of Dockyard will be familiar of their annual spectacle which takes place during Amsterdam Dance Event.

Over the past decade Dockyard has thrown spellbinding shows amidst the industrial aesthetic of venues like NDSM Werf and Havenpark featuring top talents across house, techno, and everything in-between. However, rather than reliving the past Dockyard founders Coen Van Dongen and Tania Davison have curated a new forward-thinking event to celebrate their decade milestone. This special show has been designed to set the stage for the future of techno and what the next 10 years holds in store for the brand.

Taking place on October 19th from 12:00 – 23:00 at Hembrugterrain; a former ammunition factory just outside of Amsterdam city, Dockyard Warehouse Festival will feature the most in-demand names in techno and future superstars of the genre across 4 different stages.

Confirmed on the billing includes the likes of Cera Khin, Chippy Nonstop, SNTS, and Wax Wings who’ll be performing on a stage hosted by the beloved British event organisers HE.SHE.THEY. Joining them will special sets from Dax J B2B SPFDJ and Adriel B2B Grace Dahl.

Ukrainian duo ARTBAT will be hosting their very own UPPERGROUND stage, bringing along progressive titans such as Kölsch, Losless and KAS:ST as well as rising artists Olympe and Fred Lenix.

Meanwhile, Dockyard’s very own warehouse stage ushers in some of the scene’s most sought-after names including Effy, DJ Gigola, Partiboi69, Emily Nash, Moody Mehran, and LB aka Labat. Rounding off the lineup is The Laboratory – an stage which will explore the more experimental shades of techno, courtesy of homegrown talents Colin Benders, Noah Leveye and A/DRFT (Live). They’ll play alongside Fadi Mohem B2B The Lady Machine and Phara B2B Stranger.

Looking at what lies ahead for the genre and Dockyard, founders Coen and Tania said:

Looking to the current state and future sound(s) of techno, our celebration of10 years of the Dockyard brand is not meant as a tribute to the past decennium, but rather it’s a celebration of another 10 years of techno that are ahead of us. The future of Dockyard is creating acceptance and safer spaces for all communities, without judgement or prejudice. It’s about being open and not excluding ‘new’ ideas because they do not conform to what we are “used to”.

We are excited to see how our most favourite genre will continue to evolve. Here also, we will do this without prejudice and with an open mind. We find it important to also share the origin story of techno: it’s inclusive, safe, and free. Raw, forged from iron and metal, with the Warehouse Festival, Dockyard moves into the next 10 years of techno music and culture.
