First look at the newly opened Drumsheds venue

The former IKEA warehouse opened last wast weekend with La Discothèque

London’s newest venue with a capacity of 15,000 was announced this summer, located just 4 minutes away from Tottenham Hale. Broadwick Live, industry leaders and venue operators, have brought back the iconic Drumsheds, located just a short distance from the original venue. Despite inheriting the same name as the previous location, the new space will offer a completely new experience for London’s music scene.

The massive 608,000 sqft space, formerly an IKEA warehouse, has been transformed into multiple rooms that will be continuously reconfigured to accommodate various events, fashion shows, and set builds. For the AW23 series, the expansive venue has been divided into three industrial-style areas, reflecting Broadwick’s signature style seen at Printworks and Drumsheds in the past.

Last weekend marked the grand opening of La Discothèque for the AW23 season, taking over as London’s biggest disco party. All three rooms were open, showcasing over 25 acts from the disco and house genres. The dance floors were filled with the sounds of Gilles Peterson; founder of Worldwide FM, Kenny Dope from Masters at Work, chicago house pioneer Derrick Carter playing back-to-back with DJ Sneak, the versatile vocalist Jocelyn Brown, and party starters Melè and Anish Kumar, among many others.

This coming weekend on October 14th, Gorgon City will be taking over the new space with their Enter The Realm series. The powerhouse duo have established themselves as one of the most renowned house music acts in the UK and have handpicked a selection of their favourite artists to feature alongside them.

The main room, called “X,” will feature performances by SG Lewis, Selena Faider, Ammara, Danny Howard, Armand Van Helden, and a very special live set from Oden & Fatzo. Finally, Gorgon City will take the stage for an unforgettable extended set.

The venue’s two other rooms “Y” and “Z” will also showcase some well-known artists in the music scene including UK DJ & producer Eden Prince, Ukrainian sensation Korolova, and a special takeover by Realm Records.

After this, there’s plenty more from the new venue before the end of the year with twelve dates announced for the AW23 Season so far.
