5 reasons not to miss One In The Woods

The three day festival takes place this July 28th - 30th

Returning to Orrell Hill Woods in Liverpool from July 28th – 30th, One In The Woods is one of the mostly hotly anticipated festivals this season. The rave utopia nestled amongst the Liverpool woodland follows on from their widely revered previous two instalments, adding an extra day and packing in a stunning selection of the world’s most respected artists with state of the art sound and visuals.

The One In The Woods festival is like a family, run by true ravers, and this is clear in their execution of the event. For those that have been before, you know how good this boutique festival is, and for those that don’t – here’s 5 reasons not to miss this year’s One In The Woods festival.

Lineup
I mean, just look at it. Over 120 artists covering techno, drum & bass, garage, house and electronica and everything in between. This year’s lineup is their biggest to date and sees long-standing pioneers of their respective genres collide with the freshest names in the game right now – something you’ll be hard-pressed to find all in one place elsewhere.

The three day marathon brings the likes of Fjaak, Oden & Fatzo, DJ Stingray, Dusky, Rebekah, Goldie, Fabio & Grooverider, VTSS, Ben Prophet, Interplanetary Criminal and so many more to a location like no other. Which brings us to the next point…

Location
Orrell Hill Woods is truly a sight to behold and a place you have to really see first hand to experience its magic as a festival location. With easy access links from neighbouring cities Liverpool and Manchester via train or bus to the nearby Hightown station, which is just a short 5 minute taxi away from the site. There’s even a car park on site for those looking to drive.

Trust us when we say, there’s something unique about raving beneath the trees, in a safe space which is like a second home, dancing amongst people who feel like family – a perfect segue to the next reason you cannot miss OITW.

Crowd
To put it simply, there’s no d*ckheads. Imagine a collective of people from different backgrounds, countries and cultures, but all with one thing in common; a pure passion for music. That sums up the crowd at One In The Woods, and it’s easily one of our favourite things about it.

We’ve made new friends every year, who we still speak to regularly since, and we know will be pals for life. There’s no egos or bad attitudes, just positive vibes throughout.

Camping
For the first time, you can now camp at the Orrell Hill Woods site. With limited capacity, the campsite is a short walk from the main arena and grants you access to all 3 days. If you fancy something more luxury, Camper Van Passes and Boutique Camping is also available.

As an added bonus, everyone who camps has access to the after parties each night, running until 2:30am. The party doesn’t have to stop when the headliners finish!

Production
OITW have spared no expense in making this one of the most visually compelling experiences of the summer. With four stages, Grooveyard, Operator, Parallels, and Area 51, each shrouded in mystery with different genres and production tailored to each location.

There’s a surprise new custom stage being built too. We can’t give too much away, but it’s a very famous shape.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of the reasons why The One In The Woods is an essential festival in your raving calendar this summer. Seal your place here.
