Preview: Eric Prydz, Adam Beyer & more at On The Beach Brighton

Beach front party? yes please

Brighton’s annual On The Beach festival returns this year with six massive shows taking place over two weekends in July. With each show tilted toward a different genre, huge headliners across DnB, Techno, Progressive House, Rock, and more are set to make a monumental party series on the Southern coast of England.

On Sunday 23rd July, Swedish sensation Eric Prydz will be headlining On The Beach with a colossal line up of support. Eric is one of the most in-demand DJs globally, with his live performances known for being a stunning assault on your senses. The combination of euphoric tunes, mind-bending visuals (courtesy of Liam Tomaszewski), and the fact that many records Eric plays are unreleased, have made him a must-see DJ on the rave calendar.

Fellow Swedish DJ and Producer, and Drumcode head honcho Adam Beyer will be in support, following his and Eric’s b2b set the day before at Junction 2 as ABCD. UK progressive sensation Cristoph is also on the line up, bringing his signature melodic sound which has made him a mainstay at festivals and events around the world. Danish selector Kölsch is also in support, serving up his unique mixture of techno and melodic to the shores of Brighton while London based Eli & Fur finish off the billing.

Running from 14:00 until 22:30 (last entry 18:00) at Brighton Beach between the Pier and the Marina, the spectacle will surely be a landmark occasion for any prog and techno fan. The location has been used previously for the infamous Fatboy Slim set back in 2002, where over 250,000 ravers turned up, and is easily accessible by public transport, foot, or car. The nearest station is Brighton Train Station and is a short walk to the festival site. Note that there is no parking at the event, so if you are driving you’d need to check across the city for parking.

On the other line ups, Worried About Henry have a masterclass of DnB with Chase & Status headlining alongside Hybrid Minds, Bou, Friction, K Motionz and more on 21st July. Carl Cox takes over 22nd July, with Annie Mac, Franky Wah, Syreeta, Sasha & John Digweed and more. Above & Beyond make up the final dance-oriented event at Brighton beach on 28th July, with Amy Wiles, Andrew Bayer, Just Her and anamē.
