‘Grumble Bumble’ : Mind-bending house from Steve Bug on REJECTED

The two track EP is out now on REJECTED

Marking his first release of 2023, Steve Bug is back with a brand new 2 track solo EP consisting of hypnotic mind-bending groovers, geared for the early hours. The Berlin-based producer is an iconic name in electronic music, who over the years has earned his stripes as a legendary industry figure.

During his tenure, the widely respected tastemaker has played a key role in shaping the European house and techno scene as we know it today. Previously releasing innovative and boundary-breaking music on the likes of Sublease Music, Audiomatique, Dessous Recordings, Traffic Signs, Raw Elements and of course his very own imprint Poker Flat.

Late last month saw his latest EP entitled ‘Grumble Bumble’ drop on the mainstay Amsterdam house and techno label; REJECTED. The title track quickly locks you into the groove with buoyant, knee-jerking drums throughout whilst stimulating synths and pulsing basslines burst through the mix to complete this time-warping record which oozes illegal rave energy.

Switching up the vibe and turning the EP on its head, finds the B side ‘Get Away‘. This funk-laden number combines clean cut vocals with rhythmic bass notes, crisp percussion and polished stabs to form a quintessential house groover bursting with depth and colour, whilst maintaining an underground edge.

The EP is out now on REJECTED and can be streamed/downloaded here.
