Edinburgh-based promoters Fly have joined forces with heavyweight DJ-producer duo Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle, better known as Slam, for a three-day event which will see Scotland’s iconic tent return to an undisclosed location outside the city centre. Taking place on 30th July, 31st July, and 1st August, each day will welcome up to 5,000 ravers to the original Slam tent, with the lineup curated exclusively from Scottish talent.
Since its inception in 1997, for 20 consecutive summers Slam’s rave tent was one of the highlights of Scotland’s premier festival, T in the Park. Slam played every year and were joined by some of the best artists in the underground scene, with past lineups including Daft Punk, Nina Kraviz, Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Cox, Maya Jane Coles, Skream, Richie Hawtin, Basement Jaxx, Jeff Mills, Jamie Jones and The Chemical Brothers.
Across the July weekend, selectors like Jasper James, Big Miz, Denis Sulta, Optimo, and loads more will be playing, showing the party-goers why the Slam tent is such a revered venue.
“Scotland’s clubbers are desperate to reunite and will finally come together again to celebrate freedom, unity & togetherness. It is that same feeling that existed in the early days of rave. We’re bringing it back. This will be very special!’Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle
