UNUM Festival becomes the first to use rapid testing after government approval

Seth Troxler, tINI and Ricardo Villalobos are set to perform

Albania has become the first country in the world to approve testing for social and cultural events, meaning their party season is going to be well under way this summer. UNUM Festival were quick to capitalise on this and have since confirmed their return this June.

The festival aims to bring ravers together in a picturesque corner of the world. Set in the Albanian Riviera, this sun-kissed landscape is filled with stunning nature from luscious gold beaches to the striking Albanian Alps. Combine this with music running round the clock whilst the sun rises & sets, and this is surely the place to be for those itching to dance again.

Taking place between 3rd-7th June in the coastline town of Shëngjin, UNUM have just announced the first wave of artists performing, with many top flight names in house techno and minimal on the bill. Long standing industry favourites Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, and Dyed Soundorom will no doubt be locked & loaded with their extensive record collections to welcome back Albania’s festival season.

Alongside them will see minimal maestros Priku, Praslea and Raresh back behind the decks once more, whilst house & techno starlets tINI and Sonja Moonear will bring their signature sounds to the riviera. Other artists set to perform include Leon, Shaun Reeves, Cesar Merveille, Alex Kostic and many more still to be announced.

What’s more inspiring, is how the brand has started to contribute in greater depths to its community. With full backing from the Albanian Ministry of Tourism and Environment, the team at UNUM are turning Shëngjin into a creative hub for Culture Week, featuring art and music with a focus placed on youth creativity.

After receiving the green light from Albania’s government, UNUM have reassured fans that the festival will go ahead, stating :

This event will 100% take place in a responsible fashion as it has full government approval, regardless of restriction in other countries. So even if it has to become an event for just locals or those able to travel, then this is what will happen.

This is thanks to Swallow Events, our partners in this, providing their rapid testing service for the festival to ensure everyone who enters is virus-free beforehand. We are taking all measures required to ensure safety measures are followed at all times and there be zero tolerance on this matter’.

All purchased tickets are protected by Festicket, so if you can’t make it due to COVID restrictions, you’re guaranteed a refund.
