The last 16 months for underground brand FLIRT, spearheaded by Sean Jennings, have been exciting. The popular mix series focusing on all things deep and minimal, is venturing into its very first event with none other than Chris Stussy and DJOKO headlining the bill. With the date set for the Thursday 9th April, there is no better way to start your bank holiday weekend than here.
Jennings has been carefully curating the night with the intention of outstanding minimal and deep house in an intimate setting. Providing the location is Kable Manchester, the raw, intimate basement with 250 capacity is powered with Funktion One – so you can be assured the sound will be spot on.
FLIRT really have gone full throttle for their launch night by expressing what they’re about, as Sean says:

The brand has invited two of the most exciting names in underground music of late, with Chris Stussy and DJOKO kicking things off for their inaugural show. Chris Stussy, the man behind PIV label, and the hit track “Evening Drive”, will bring rolling basslines and crisp beats, which is characteristic of his incessant style behind the decks. One of the current hot topics in the minimal spectrum having garnered quite the name for himself across Europe, Chris is one not to miss when he’s in town.
Playing alongside him is DJOKO, the Cologne native who’s had some huge releases including “Washed Away”, and “Atomic Pulse” on labels such as Phobic and e1even. Known for his stylish mixing and grooving bass, his recent track “Rise Together” released on PIV has been underground deep house hit.
Joining them will be Lotrax, J-Evans, Elliot Ashley, Henry Gaughan, and the man behind the brand– Jennings. With Jennings’ recent debut EP on Whoyostro White going down a treat, he’s quickly building a strong catalogue of grooving unreleased music including a 2 track EP with Lotrax which will no doubt get some airtime on April 9th.
