The famously quoted island from the blockbuster film Step Brothers is set to host a first of its kind immersive dance music experience. Yep, that’s right, the same place as the Catalina Wine Mixer is having a party dedicated to electronic music.
Across the course of the spectacle which will run from September 27-30, 2019 will bring over 40 dance music acts across various genres, playing at the Island’s jaw-dropping venues which include a Grand Casino Ballroom with the largest circular ballroom dance floor in the world.
Away from the festival, the island situated 22 miles off the coast of LA boasts unspoiled wildlife and breathtaking views to keep you occupied throughout your stay. Artist-hosted activities including a golf & fishing tournament, jet skiing, zip lining and more is also set to take place during the schedule. Imagine going head to head in a game with your favourite DJ!?
The event is curated by Whet Travel, who produced the iconic boat party; Groove Cruise. This year’s Groove Cruise saw Hot Since 82, MK, Roger Sanchez, Leftwing : Kody, Technasia and many more feature – so you can guarantee they’ll have some big names up their sleeve for the first instalment of Groove Island. A range of party packages can be purchased which include Helicopters, Yachts and Ferries to glam up your stay. Tickets go on sale March 20th at 3pm EST.
