Jimmy Switch, Roger That and Pat Hickey to play FunKtion launch party

Kicking things off with a bang

A brand new party is landing this month, in the vibrant city of Canterbury, Kent. The tech house concept formed by four local promoters all with a passion for the underground scene aims to bring a fresh offering of upbeat and energetic artists to the city. A string of events are set to feature, with a focus of providing a buoyant and feel-good atmosphere embedded into the parties.

Housing the brand’s opening show on February 23rd is Canterbury’s Loft Bar, which features a terrace style courtyard and separate enclosed main area. Both rooms will be in full swing on the night, with a healthy mix of upcoming DJs and established selectors in control of the night’s soundtrack. On headlining duties, brings tech house talent Jimmy Switch, who’s catapulted into the scene in recent years playing for the likes of Sankeys and London heavyweights; ABODE. The Manchester born DJ & producer will no doubt bring the high pace hitters he’s become widely known for to the intimate venue.

Joining him finds the jungle-themed Habitat co-owner Roger That and a debut Canterbury performance from Cuckoo Land Ibiza regular Pat Hickey. In support are upcoming artists Tony Stephenson, HEX, Jason Waters, Andrea Harkin, Clivey and Kyle Watkins.
