Techno festival Instytut announce second edition with Richie Hawtin and Ben Klock

40 visual artists have also been booked to decorate the venue

Prevalent Polish promoters Instytut have announced the second iteration of their techno festival located in 15th century military barracks, Modlin Garrison – just outside of Warsaw. This year will see the return of the 48hr techno marathon with Ben Klock, Richie Hawtin, Ancient Methods, Tommy Four Seven, Andy Stott live, and Donato Dozzy already locked into the line up.

Taking place on the longest two days of the year, 21st and 22nd June, the Polish party promises five stages in completely new, unique scenery. Along with the lineup, they’ve arranged 40 visual artists to decorate the historical garrison, with the aim of creating a peculiar, eclectic art gallery.

The Modlin Garrison is a unique venue – the longest building in Europe and the second largest in the world. The spectacular 200 year old fortress is located in the very heart of Poland, at the meeting of two rivers overlooking picturesque sandy beaches and hidden among forests and phenomenal ruins.

The promoters have said:

“when organising our events, we always focus on the energy that our audience brings with it and the unlimited love for music. During the festival, we intend to translate these values on a global scale”

Tickets for 2019’s instalment are available here. Check out last year’s festival in the video below :
