Family Piknik returns for 2019 with Carl Cox & Sven Väth

Featuring extended sets by some of techno's biggest names!

Arriving in the French town Montpellier, the 8th edition of Family Piknik will play host to superstar techno DJs once again, at the vast Grammont field. From the 3rd of August until the 5th, the blessed crowds will see a double helping of three hour sets from some of the industry’s most respected artists. Taking up the extended allotments lands Cocoon head honcho Sven Väth, who from his former appearances has since gained a Godfather status to the festival. The vinyl selector will be closely shadowed by a special sunset slot from techno powerhouse Carl Cox.

Meanwhile, the festival’s Flamingo stage will be tailored towards the more atmospheric spectrum, with Sasha & John Digweed taking the European crowd on one of their revered b2b journeys. The opening concert is free for all festival attendees, with a dynamic focus featuring live acts playing from 5pm to 2am. The 4th of August will gear towards tech-house and techno, with action kicking off from 10am.

If that wasn’t enough, Piknik have also announced a secret stage located in the middle of a dense wood, providing a unique dance floor experience nestled under the trees.
