Arriving at the famous Lingotto conference centre in Turin, Movement Torino is marshalling in mammoth acts across the 12 – 13th of October. Leading up to the festival has seen a series of pop up events running up to the 5th of October called Movement on the Road, including a special preview by Ivan Bert at Torino airport, with his live band providing an extraordinary performance. It’s fair to say the Italian crowd has already been warmed up for what’s to come.
The main shows will be attended by over 15,000 eager ravers, soon to be presented with world class production, giant LED visual screens and huge speaker stacks pumping out a mixture of melodic and thumping techno.On Friday the 12th the main event’s techno commences with Amelia Lens, Charlotte De Witte, Elen Allien, Francesco Tristano (live), Joseph Capriati, Nina Kraviz, Solomun and Waajeed (live).
Following on from the first techno laden day; Movement Torino offers a mouth-watering sum of live acts to create a dynamic electronic line-up for the 13th. Ushering in Cosmo (live), Derrick May, DJ Bone, Ilario Alicante, Jon Hopkins (live), The Martinez Brothers and Underground Resistance (live).
If this wasn’t already plenty, Movement have also announced Politechno on the 15th of October, at Politenico di Torino – a development workshop giving an insight into the origins and progression of electronic dance music, accommodated by the world esteemed Derrick May.
