5 Must see acts at Balaton Sound 2024

The festival takes place this 3rd-6th July

Heineken Balaton Sound has completed its full lineup and among some of the final names revealed are acts like Laidback Luke, HoneyLuv and Mau P, along with many more. These recently announced artists are joining a list of electronic icons such as Adam Beyer, Stephan Bodzin, Marshmallo and James Hype set to perform on the beautiful Lake Balaton.

Anna Filutás, the project manager of Heineken Balaton Sound, announced – 

“This year, we aimed to compile the music lineup of Heineken Balaton Sound in a way that condenses the wide range of the electronic music universe into the four days of the festival. Heineken Balaton Sound has become a cross-genre party celebration where lovers of electronic music can freely choose from the offerings, discovering new favourites and musical genres throughout the festival beach,”

Not only is the lineup filled with amazing electronic artists, but Balaton Sound’s venue offers an setting that only amplifies the experience. The beautiful beach location consists of a kilometre long waterfront, with plenty of spots to chill and unwind during the day before the festival’s stacked schedule kicks off by night.

HoneyLuv
HoneyLuv kicked off last year by being announced as BBC Radio 1’s Future Star of 2023 and has not slowed down since. Taking inspiration from an early age, listening to R&B songs from the 80s and 90s. With the support her father and a little motivation from some friends, she started DJing in 2016. Since then, HoneyLuv has been touring with names with like Chris Lake, Kevin Saunderson and Patrick Topping and shows no signs of slowing down.

James Hype
Merseyside-born international sensation James Hype has made his way as a widely successful producer, with a growing catalogue of popular originals, bootlegs and remixes, that are played worldwide. However, those who’ve seen him perform will tell you James Hype is at his very best in front of a set of CDJs. The performances he creates are second to none, keeping the crowd constantly engaged with his flawless flicks and tricks, remixing tunes on the fly and making each show a unique experience.

Laidback Luke
With coming up to 30 years experience, Laidback Luke broke through his underground credentials and into the main stage, with the iconic dance anthem “Show Me Love”. Taking inspiration from techno and house giants, Luke brings unique house styles and an iconic energy that translates into his live performances. Working with countless artists over the years, Laidback Luke brings an intensity to electronic music clearly defined as his own. 

Malugi
Over the past couple of years, Malugi has rocketed into the forefront of electronic music with both his own productions and stage presence driving him forward. His unapologetic but uptempo take on Eurodance and trance has set dance floors alight leading to a stacked touring schedule. Purple Disco Machine
The German DJ is known for creating an infectious, groove-heavy blend of house, disco, funk and synth pop. With nearly 19 years since his first release, PDM has amassed over a billion streams and multiple European Airplay Chart toppers across his catalogue. Creating a deep connection for the dancefloor, the DJ has toured worldwide with notable appearances at Coachella, Tomorrowland and Ibiza
