Nature Loves Courage is the intimate event that sees a lucky crowd party through the day and night at one of Greece’s most breathtaking spots. Set against the backdrop of Fortuna Club, an open-air club nestled on the crystalline beaches of Crete’s Sougia Bay in the Mediterranean, the festival offers a captivating blend of playful electronic music and the serene beauty of nature.
Nature Loves Courage was founded in 2019 by the eclectic Abyss X; an artist in her own lane, playing by her own rules. Genre-bending styles and illusive sensations are Abyss X’s forte and these same themes are mirrored in the community-led event held on her home island.
Landing in the height of early summer from June 28th – 29th attendees can expect to party to the sounds of techno, jungle, breaks, electronica, experimental pop, psy trance, and more. Freedom is the message of this special festival and it runs through to the core, from the music to the crowd to the atmosphere.
Drawing inspiration from the visionary author Terence McKenna, Nature Loves Courage embodies a spiritual essence that celebrates psychedelia, music, and the innate wonders of the natural world. Attire is left to personal choice, fostering a sense of liberation and harmony with the environment.
This year, Nature Loves Courage celebrates the festival’s 5th edition bringing with it an exciting selection of acts from all ends of underground dance music. The soundtrack to this year’s edition will be provided by a diverse lineup from around the globe.
Among the names set to perform include the Jamaican sensation Shyboi, rave-ready selector Jensen Interceptor, and New York nightlife fixture Sausha. Joining them will be Berghain regular JASSS, experimental DJ Rui Ho, home grown cretan talent Raed Raees, and London’s DJ Skin spinning psy-trance. Completing the lineup are resident DJs Juliana Huxtable, Kilbourne, and Abyss X.
